Academic and Social Promotions and Applications of Digital Archives and e-Learning Project
The major objective of the Academic and Social Promotions and Applications of Digital Archives and e-Learning Project is to enhance the integration of digital archives, learning content and technology into culture, academia, society and the economy. The application of comprehensive digital archives and learning tools in education, research, society and other fields is expected to expand the public’s understanding toward Taiwanese culture and provides ample resources for Taiwanese cultural studies. Furthermore, this project, engaged by users from the public, academic, research institutes and other fields, will promote knowledge and experiences of digital archives access, and share the digital archives, learning materials and related knowledge with the public, encouraging the development of public domain fertilized by related communities.
The missions of this project include development of promotion strategies, coordination, management and supervision of teamwork across different institutes, as well as taking charge of licensing consultation and promotion activities, such as Licensing International, Commercial Application Competition and Instructional Design Competition. This project, focusing several dimensions of cultural, academic, social and educational applications is further divided into seven sub-projects, including:

- Academic Applications and Dissemination of Cultural Heritage
- Cultural and Social Development
- Application of Geographical Information
- The Request-for-Proposals Project
- DAODIN Social Network Service System
- Human Resource Development and E-learning
Following the promotion of digital archives and learning skills, five achievements are expected, including:
- Common Application: serve as the bridge for research and industries
- Common Access: build a mechanism for public use, aiming to accelerate the sharing of resources
- Common Interoperability: introduce licensing and regulation mechanism and GIS applications to open up international networks
- Common Distribution: cultivate the ability to use digital archives materials, overcome the digital divide, and broaden the application of e-learning
- Common Utilization: strengthen the incentives for users to devote themselves to creating and sharing
